Our client is a consultancy of choice for many of the larger developers, working across the Residential, Commercial, Industrial and Retail sectors. They provide advice ranging from planning feasibility and due-diligence for potential developments and acquisitions – into rezoning’s and statutory approvals and through to representation at Panels/VCAT where required.
The company have a strong track record in the industry and a healthy supply of projects coming in the door, as such for this senior role it is not mandatory for you to “bring work in the door”, rather the directors will assist in introducing you to their clients and acting as a support to you in managing difficult personalities during the transition phase but your appointment will be based to a large degree upon your ability to effectively manage clients and projects from day 1 and continue to maintain a healthy client-consultant relationship.
As the focus is on project/client management it is envisioned that the successful applicant will come from the private sector – however candidates with a high-profile within the public sector are also encouraged to apply. Equally senior planners who feel that this is the sort of role they are after but feel that they may lack a couple of years’ experience for this role should consider applying as the client would be open to looking at a structured route to associate for an up and coming young planner.
Starting salary will be negotiated directly with the successful applicant, and additional financial incentives based upon successful management of projects as well as work brought into the practice can be discussed.
