Planned Resources is looking for a Transport Planner to work in a part-time capacity (2-3 days a week); you will work as part of a team in developing an integrated approach to transport -related strategies, plans, and studies to help ensure the transport systems meet the long term needs of the community.
Supported by senior resources who will focus on high level advocacy, you will play a key role in engaging with different user groups (both internal and external) in understanding community requirements. Utlising your knowledge of transport systems to develop a robust forward thinking planning transport policies that meet the needs of the community, prioritise sustainability where possible, as well as being financially viable.
You will be able to take your initial findings, work collaboratively in contributing to the overall policy direction, and play a key role in helping to author key components of reports. You will ideally have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Transport or Infrastructure related policy, preferably within a Local Government context, although traffic engineers looking to make the transition into strategic transport would be considered.
