Working within a high-profile team in state government this is a great opportunity for an experienced planner looking for a change of scenery that will expose you to major projects and decision making.
The ideal candidate for this role will have..
Planning Understanding– You will have a good fundamental understanding of planning and planning principles. Your role will cut across EES’s, PSPs, Major Activity Centre cases, significant heritage matters, various Advisory Committees, and the like. Being able to summarise key aspects of reports, draw out consistent themes and identify anomalies will be a key requisite of the role.
Good Organisational Skills – You will be able to comfortably juggle more than one thing at once to hit firm/immoveable deadlines. Significantly hitting these deadlines will require the input of various external stakeholders so your ability to ensure that people outside your direct sphere of control are aware of milestones and your requirements will be key to this role.
Strong Stakeholder Management: This is a high-profile role, where you are dealing with a wide range of stakeholders at a senior level in sometimes pressurised environments. Your emotional intelligence and ability to read a situation and adapt your approach accordingly will help you succeed.
Excellent Teamwork: Whilst you are gaining exposure to some of the most significant projects in Victoria, there is no place for ego’s in this team. There will be times when the role is glamourous and times when the role is more mundane. Your willingness to accept both will make you an effective team player.
Running on a long-term contract basis till June 2021 and offering an hourly rate circa $60+super.
