Environmental Planner 4-month contract opportunity for either full or part-time to work for a local council in Northern suburbs. You will be responsible for helping maintain and create opportunities for biodiversity within the municipality through the provision of advice relating to native vegetation and offsets on development applications and planning schemes, assistance in enforcement matters where required and management of Offset Management Plans where relevant.
The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of both native vegetation as well as the town planning process which will have been developed through an environmental or planning degree and ideally some experience focused specifically within the environmental planning space.
Council are open to candidates looking for either full or part-time work, with the contract starting pre-Christmas and running through initially till March.
