This is a fantastic opportunity for a Local Government Planner with leadership experience to lead a small planning team.
A Regional Government council outside of Melbourne requires a Planning Coordinator. You will be managing a team of 2 whilst imparting your knowledge and leading the team to gain positive outcomes. The ideal candidate will be someone who possesses a glass half full perspective to their work as well as deliver on projects. You will be innovative and have ideas that may somewhat out of the box thinking.
The team assesses a variety of planning applications including residential, commercial developments, greenfield and rural land-use permit applications.
As a Coordinator, you will be responsible in the day-to-day operations of the team, task allocation and mentoring/advising other Planners in the team. You may also be required to assist in assessing high-level/complex permit applications.
This is a full time opportunity with flexible working arrangements for the right candidate; however it would be ideal to be in the office full time to support the team.
