Carry out site inspections and investigations in this short term role with possibility of extension
A Planning Enforcement Officer is required within an Eastern suburbs council to identify and rectify non-compliance with planning scheme requirements. You will inspect and investigate properties and interpret and apply planning controls as per the planning scheme. You will investigate complaints made by the community and correspond effectively and efficient with a diverse range of customers and stakeholders.
To be successful you will have a tertiary qualification in town planning or regulatory services and experience in the field of planning enforcement ideally within a local government environment. You will have proven ability to interpret planning scheme controls and the ability to achieve appropriate negotiated outcomes to planning investigation and enforcement matters. You will have a demonstrated ability to provide professional service to a range of clients. You will hold a current Victorian Drivers License.
