An Assets Inspector (Road Networks) is required in a Western suburbs council for a 6 month temporary opportunity with potential for ongoing or permanent work. This newly created role will inspect road assets within the municipality for sealed road defects such as cracking. You will perform site inspections and conduct quality assurance with most of the role taking place in the field. You will create defects checklists for sign repair and road repair works and have an understanding of municipal road infrastructure maintenance standards.
To be successful you will have demonstrated experience in a similar role, prior local government experience will be advantageous, or experience within an asphalt crew. A tertiary qualification in Civil engineering is advantageous but not required. You will have an understanding of road maintenance standards and relevant council software such as GIS. You will have excellent documentation and report writing skills. You will hold a current Victorian Drivers License.
