
A Senior Landscape Officer is required for a 3 month role with possibility of extension within a south-eastern suburban local government organisation.
You will be responsible for:
- Assessing subdivision landscape detail design plans ensuring all landscape proposals within subdivision are in accordance with approved masterplans and meet acceptable standards of liveability, practicality and design set out in council policies, standards and procedures;
- Ensuring subdivision landscape plans conform with Australian standards and building code requirements;
- Contributing to the coordination, allocation, assessment and processing of landscape planning referrals and applications in accordance with state and local legislation;
- Processing enquiries for internal and external stakeholders.
To be successful you will have:
- Proven experience in a similar role, with prior local government experience being highly desirable;
- A relevant landscape qualification and extensive experience in the landscape and horticultural field;
- An extensive knowledge of State and Local Government frameworks;
- Experience reading and interpreting architectural plans;
- A current Victorian Drivers License; and
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
