A permanent position in a regional council in Victoria’s north, this council area are well known for their tourist attractions and industries which include dairying, food processing and various crops. They have an opportunity for a planner to join their small team who are currently based in the office (following covid-19 safety plans) to work on a variety of applications as well as assist on their strategic development projects for the municipality. The ideal candidate would have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in planning and would be able to relocate to this beautiful regional location.
Salary: Band 6 $83,797 to $93,399K + Super
Senior Town Planner
A council in Victoria’s north west have an urgent requirement for a Town Planner to work within their team of 15 (mix of regulatory and building services). The candidate coming into this position will have the role of mentoring the junior planner and working alongside their strategic planner on a number of development approvals and strategic projects. There will be a lot of support in this position as the team work quite closely together. The ideal candidate would be able to relocate to the town however they are willing to look at flexible working arrangements for the right candidate. This is a permanent position and will take into consideration candidates with full and part time working hours.
Senior Land Use Planner
Located in Victoria’s east, this opportunity is perfect for candidates who are passionate about rural planning and may also enjoy a weekend 4wd/ camping trip in the rugged high country with extensive national parks and state forests! With the shire’s economy being based on tourism, agriculture and forestry; there is a variety of work for the land use planner coming into this role.
Working at a Band 7 level will require the successful candidate to have leadership abilities, being able to mentor junior staff as well as work on those complex applications that come into council.
Salary: $92,351.41 – $102,210.04 + Super | Tenure: 6-month fixed term contract

With their scope of work they are able to ensure a larger capacity of services for their clients to gain the best outcomes on projects. The role is a permanent appointment and would allow for flexible working arrangements for the right candidate.
