A Developments Engineer is required within a north eastern suburbs local government organisation in a temporary capacity until 3rd September 2021 with possibility of extension. The role organisation is based in Lilydale. You will provide efficient and effective engineering development and subdivision assessment and ensure that civil infrastructure assets are provided to meet the current and future demands of the municipality and the needs of community and council. You will provide timely and appropriate response to external and internal stakeholders relating to civil infrastructure requests and assess and approve planning referrals.
To be successful you will have extensive experience in civil engineering, and prior local government experience is highly desirable. You will have knowledge of civil engineering investigation, design and standards in a municipal environment, and knowledge of the Local Govt Act, Road Management Act, Planning Act, other relevant statutory Acts & Regulations. You will have strong knowledge of sub-divisional, planning and development procedures and statutory requirements for developments. You will be able to liaise with a range of stakeholders and have excellent communication and negotiation skills. You will have a degree in Civil engineering or equivalent qualification. You will also hold a current Victorian Driver’s License and have or be able to obtain a National Crime Check.
