Manage a team of 4 and delivery council’s asset management plan
Join a fast growing council in the south-eastern suburbs in this temporary role with strong possibility of permanency for the right candidate. You will oversee the operation and development of processes to achieve Asset Management objectives most notably the delivery of councils asset management plan. This role will lead a team of 3, including two senior asset management planners and a junior asset management planner. This role will involve strong stakeholder management as you prepare the asset management strategy and guide the organisation through the asset management journey. Key stakeholders will be the Head of Assets, Manager City Design, relevant Directors and the CFO. You will lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of Council’s Asset Management Framework in line with the organisational strategy and key stakeholder expectations. You will also represent Asset Management Planning with major stakeholders within the organisation.
To be successful you will have demonstrated experience in a similar asset management environment, including proven competence in the development and implementation of Asset Management Frameworks and systems. You will have prepared and reviewed key strategic asset management documents such as policies and plans. A key component of this role is the demonstrated ability to lead, coach and develop teams, as well as the ability to liaise with high level stakeholders. Candidates with a range of industry background are encouraged to apply as the principles translate across several areas. You will also hold a tertiary qualification in Engineering or other appropriate discipline and be able to complete a National Police Check and a Working with Children Check.
