Join a local government’s Economic Development & Tourism unit in this dynamic temporary role with an events focus. You will be responsible for the smooth delivery of the Women in Business lunch, an event scheduled for March 2022. While most of the event has been coordinated, you will ensure that proceedings are delivered smoothly. You will compile a monthly e-newsletter and regularly post to social media and maintain the website. You will also complete tasks related to the special rate and charge program, predominantly administration and stakeholder related, which you will be supported in. This role is initially until April 2022 and is 32 hours a week. There is flexibility to work some days from home.
To be successful you will have;
- Experience in Event Management, prior council experience is desirable
- Demonstrated experience coordinating the development and delivery of business communications, as well as managing content published to council’s website, including social media posts and engagement
- Experience in managing stakeholder relationships and following processes
- Demonstrated knowledge and appreciation of the issues facing businesses and trader associations.
