- Two temporary roles are available within local government organisations. one is a western council, assisting the Assets team and the other is an eastern suburbs council supporting the Community Laws, Health Services and Emergency Management departments. Both roles are initially 3 months with work from home flexibility available. Both roles will involve:
- Providing general administrative function and support to the relevant unit including word processing, data entry, telephone enquiries, filing, photocopying, word processing and data entry.
- Responding to enquiries in a timely and efficient manner having regard to Council policies and procedures.
- Recording and registering appropriate information in Councils’ systems, such as Pathway, TRIM and GIS
- Processing and recording of compliance notices, letters and other correspondence.
To be successful you will have;
- Experience in a similar administrative support role. Prior local government experience is highly desirable.
- Relevant qualification in administration and relevant knowledge of a regulatory environment.
- Sound oral and written communication skills.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Sound office based computer skills, especially in the area of word processing, spreadsheets and graphs. Experience using TRIM, Pathway or GIS.
- Ability to complete a Police Check
