Landscape Architect

Join a local council in the south east suburbs in this temporary opportunity until June 2022. This role is for a Landscape Architect capable of running design projects as well as working collaboratively. The rate is $40 – $56p/hr depending on experience. 

Your day to day will involve;

• Preparing plans, policies and documents to assist in the design and creation of attractive, meaningful and responsive day-to-day, streetscape plans, precinct plans, recreational, open space and park planning projects. 
• Assisting in the project management and administration of contracts with external consultants and contractors. 
• Assisting in the review of landscape-subdivision and masterplan applications. 
• Assisting in the preparation of material for appeal and panel submissions on landscape related matters for the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal. 
• Manage landscape design projects including the development of briefs, co-ordination of consultants and community liaison. 

To be successful you will have;

• Demonstrated experience in a similar role; prior local government experience is highly desirable.
• Tertiary qualification(s) in Landscape Architecture or related degree(s);
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator as well as standard MS Office software;
• Demonstrated experience managing landscape projects from start to finish, including the ability to deliver projects on time and within budget;
• Excellent communication skills, as demonstrated by previous experience preparing presentation drawings and complex reports, public speaking as well as facilitating community and stakeholder consultation; and
• Demonstrated experience in all facets of landscape design including complex site analysis, design, documentation, construction and supervising consultants and contractors.
