SENIOR URBAN PLANNER & PRINCIPAL PLANNER
Location: Brisbane or Gold Coast
This dynamic Brisbane-based firm specialises in town planning, urban design, surveying, and spatial solutions. With a solid history in operation and a proud track record in iconic developments across residential, commercial, industrial and transport/infrastructure sector, their team thrives on delivering smart, sustainable and practical solutions that make a real difference.
As part of their expansion in QLD, they are looking to hire a Senior Planner and a Principal Planner to join the existing collaborative and strong cultured team.
The Role
You’ll lead major and complex projects in established and growth areas all across Queensland, collaborate with skilled professionals across disciplines, and mentor a large team of junior and senior planners as they grow. You’ll engage directly with clients and stakeholders, delivering integrated and future-focused solutions that reflect the latest planning practices, meeting client/community needs and comply with latest regulatory requirements.
Who are you
- 4+ years of experience in a senior or principal/associate level planning role. Prior experience in consultancy environment is a big plus.
- Strong understanding of Queensland’s planning legislation
- Relevant qualifications in Town Planning (PIA eligibility preferred)
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
- A passion for shaping better places through smart, sustainable planning
