The Organisation:
Our client is a well-established property developer specialising in commercial and industrial projects, with over $1 billion worth of work secured in their forward pipeline. This is a rare opportunity to join a highly stable, well-capitalised business and work in-house, embedded directly within the development team.
This role would suit an architect or technician who enjoys the delivery side of architecture and is looking to broaden their exposure to the commercial realities of property development.
The Role:
As the in-house architectural resource, you will work closely with the General Manager and broader project team, taking responsibility for the preparation and coordination of working drawings and construction documentation, primarily using ArchiCAD.
You will play a key role in supporting projects from design development through to construction, liaising with external consultants, builders, and authorities, while also providing technical guidance within the business.
Importantly, this position offers a genuine long-term pathway into a development role, making it an ideal stepping stone for anyone interested in transitioning client-side.
Key Responsibilities:
• Preparation of detailed working drawings and construction documentation (ArchiCAD)
• Coordination of consultants and documentation packages
• Supporting the delivery of commercial and industrial projects through construction
• Close collaboration with the General Manager on design, documentation, and delivery strategies
• Providing technical support across the project team
• Reviewing external consultant outputs for buildability and compliance
About You:
• Tertiary qualification in Architecture
• Strong experience in construction documentation
• Proficiency in ArchiCAD (essential)
• Experience across commercial and/or industrial projects
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Interest in gaining exposure to the development side of projects over the long term
Why This Role?
• In-house position with a major developer
• Exceptionally secure pipeline of work
• High level of exposure to decision-making and delivery
• Opportunity to work closely with senior leadership
• Clear pathway toward a future development-focused role
