South Gippsland Shire Council are teaming up with Planned Resources to find their next Coordinator of Statutory Planning!

South Gippsland Shire is home to agricultural industries: dairy and beef farming as well as several other activities inclusive of boutique food and wine, fishing, retail, and tourism. Serving as a popular holiday area including Venus Bay and the famous Wilsons Promontory.

The region is experiencing strong growth due to the close proximity to Melbourne’s SE (about 40 minutes from Pakenham and Cranbourne) – making it an attractive area for Melburnians wanting to have the country/city lifestyle.

The Planning team is busy, and they are looking for a Statutory Planning Coordinator to oversee a team of 8 staff. The role will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the team, as well as providing leadership – including people management, recruitment, performance review, and professional development.

The ideal candidate will have a similar experience in local government with experience with the Victorian planning system. Someone who has the technical proficiency to assist with the more complex applications while having leadership and people management skills and experience.

South Gippsland Shire Council are offering an ongoing hybrid working arrangement; commuting to the office each day is not an expectation. Offering a Band 8 salary: $112,803.42 – $126,067.32 per annum + super.
