A local authority are looking to appoint a Principal Transport Planner to join their planning team. Based in a regional Victorian centre, you will have a high level of autonomy and be the primary driver in the development of several council’s key policies related to transport strategies
The role will suit a mid-senior level transport planner who has the ideas to help provide innovation to projects, the negotiation skills to get a variety of internal and external stakeholders engaged with the project, as well as the project management skills to brief, engage and manage consultants to achieve exceptional results.
As the planning department already contains a number of planners from interstate and overseas, the council welcomes from applications outside of Victoria as long as they are prepared to commit themselves to the region for a period of time. An immediate contract position is on offer for the successful candidate if they are looking to start immediately, with the permanent role being advertised in early new year.
