Working as part of a team that are responsible for the training, liaison and education of internal and external planning staff your role will be to help develop the engagement framework.
This will involve:
- The identification of the correct stakeholders for both strategic and statutory planning and the creation and maintenance of a contact database
- Revise the communications/engagement plan to have targeted requirements for key external stakeholders.
- Development of Training and Education programs both for external planners (for example local council planning officers) as well as internal staff (current staff and new/future appointees)
- Guidance literature outlining the planning process – included but limited to web pages for the external professionals and intranet information (for both planning and non-planning staff)
The ideal candidate is likely to be planning qualified, with some experience in the planning field, although as a support to a larger team they don’t need excessive experience.
