Siting between the sales teams and construction teams for a highly regarded builder. The role will involve conducting a detailed site analysis which will inform the positioning of the building envelope and identify any potential regulatory/permit issues which may arise at the pre-construction phase.
The ideal candidate is likely to come from a Town Planning or Building Inspector background with experience of residential planning permits and/or report and consents for councils. Through their previous experience they will understand processes and regulations relating to setback requirements, tree protection overlays, traffic impacts, title restrictions/covenants, overlooking, overshadowing and neighbourhood character. They will also have a broad level of common sense relating to construction techniques which will mean that they are aware of the effects of levels, siting of infrastructure (such as power, sewer and stormwater) and access for construction.
This is an ideal role for a planner/building inspector/surveyor who’s seeking to move out of a council/consultancy into working in a fast-paced environment of a construction company.
