Regionally located council have 3 positions available in their planning team!

If you’re looking for a change of scenery and wanting a fresh start – this could be the opportunity for you. Located around 4 hours from the heart of Melbourne and on the border of VIC / NSW; council are currently rebuilding their planning team and looking for talented people to join them. Their newly appointed planning manager is passionate about rebuilding and leading the planning team as well as mentoring and developing clear career paths.

The roles available could be appropriate for either statutory or strategic experienced planners:

Principal / Team Leader – Band 7 | $92,039.20 – $101,929.92 + 14% super

Requiring an experienced planner who can manage the technicalities as well as review work, delegation, sign off and mentoring of the more junior staff.

Senior Planning officer – Band 6 | $82,936.68 – $89,598.34 + 14% super

This position could suit an experienced band 5 planner looking to take a step up to tackle further complexities and challenges that the regional planning can offer!

Planning Officer – Band 5 | $69,716.44 – $79,380.39 + 14% super

Great role for someone looking to start their career in the planning industry! You can step in without any prior experience as you’ll be supported by the rest of the planning team and a manager who is passionate about mentorship.

Council have a range of projects including:

• Housing – rezoning land
• Industrial land use strategy
• Housing policy
• Flooding amendments
• Rezoning amendments

Council are able to offer flexible / hybrid working arrangements for candidates as well as a relocation package for those looking to move closer to the area.

Victorian experience would be well regarded however interstate Australian experience is also beneficial.
