Our client is a reliable building surveying company in Melbourne, providing high-quality building surveying services to their clients. They are are looking for a talented and motivated Building Surveyor to join the team on a permanent basis.

As a Building Surveyor you will play a crucial role in helping clients assess, manage, and maintain their properties. You will work on a diverse range of projects across various sectors, including residential, commercial, and industrial. Your responsibilities will include:

Key responsibilities

  • Conducting building permit approvals, mandatory inspections, final inspections and occupancy permits to evaluate the condition and compliance of structures.
  • Preparing detailed reports and providing expert advice on building defects, maintenance, and repair solutions.
  • Advising on building regulations, planning permissions, and other relevant statutory requirements.
  • Building strong client relationships and managing client expectations.
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Staying up to date with industry trends, codes / regulations, and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Building Surveying
  • Proven experience as a Building Surveyor, with a strong portfolio of residential and commercial projects (large and small-scale).
  • Sound knowledge of building regulations, construction techniques, and materials.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
