Our client specialises in a variety of residential projects from small additions or extensions to multi-million dollar homes as well as multi-unit developments. We are seeking an experienced Building Surveyor ideally BS-L registered (or close to) to join their team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in conducting surveys, inspections, and assessments of properties, ensuring compliance with building regulations, codes, and standards. The Building Surveyor will collaborate closely with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth project processes and uphold our reputation for quality and reliability.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed surveys and inspections of residential properties.
- Evaluate plans, specifications, and drawings to ensure compliance with building regulations.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on building regulations and standards.
- Prepare comprehensive reports outlining survey findings and recommendations.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to resolve issues and ensure compliance.
- Keep abreast of industry developments, regulations, and best practices.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of surveys and inspections.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Building Surveying or related field.
- Proven experience as a Building Surveyor ideally within the residential sector.
- In-depth knowledge of building regulations, codes, and standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools for building surveying.
- Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
