The Opportunity:

They are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Contracts Administrator to join their dynamic team in Melbourne.  As a Contracts Administrator, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the contractual aspects of their projects, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyse contracts for commercial and legal soundness.
  • Coordinate contract negotiations and revisions with clients, sub-consultants, and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage the contract signing process from initiation to completion.
  • Maintain accurate contract documentation and records.
  • Identify and address contract risks, issues, and inconsistencies.
  • Assist in resolving contract disputes or claims.
  • Prepare sub-consultancy agreements.

 

To be Successful:

You will possess:

  • A legal background or relevant qualification in procurement or law.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a Contracts Administration role or similar.
  • A strong understanding of commercial and legal issues related to consultancy contracts.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks.
  • A collaborative team player mentality.

 

Desirable skills:

  • Experience in the building design and construction industry.
  • Familiarity with design applications and architectural/interior design services.
