Engineering Manager

Planned Resources is currently searching for an Engineering Manager to join our client, a well-established consulting firm with a strong presence in Victoria.
As an Engineering Manager at our client’s firm, you’ll be a key member of our dynamic team, bringing your expertise and insights to bear on a diverse range of engineering projects.
You will be a key member of the Engineering Leadership Team. In this role, you will have significant influence and autonomy in developing a pipeline of projects, providing technical leadership, and building strong client relationships. You will establish strong relationships with colleagues across all disciplines in both Metro and Regional Offices.

Role responsibilities

  • Allocation of projects and management of resources
  • Monitoring of project budgets
  • Provide technical leadership to the team and technical advice to Clients
  • Review and support technical standards in conjunction with the General Manager
  • Undertake project and design audits annually
  • Review and implement authority standards
  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
  • Actively seek new opportunities for Clients
  • Quote new projects within limits set in the Integrated Management System
  • Support the General Manager Engineering to implement various Business Management practices
  • Mentoring of other staff within your professional area of expertise

About You

  • Civil Engineering accredited to the level of Professional Engineer or similar
  • You must be a Registered Professional Engineer (Victoria and/or NSW)
  • Chartered Professional Engineer will be well regarded or working towards
  • Extensive experience in land development and/or local government
  • Good understanding and demonstrated interest in the land development industry
  • Strong understanding of local government and its operation
  • VicRoads design experience would be an advantage
  • Experience in managing technical teams
