Busy progressive council with one of the most diverse communities are seeking a Property Coordinator. This role will require strong and effective leadership / management of the Property Services Unit, to maximise the outcomes for Council. In addition, the role will contribute to the broader leadership and management of the Assets & Business Improvement Department and the Governance & Engagement Division.
To be successful in this role you must have the ability to:
- Plan, manage and monitor budgets
- Maintain a high standard of people management, including workforce planning, recruitment and induction, performance management, professional development, and compliance with relevant policies and procedures
- Ensure that direct reports have an effective workplan, and a clear and complete understanding of their role and relevant context
- Monitor and take necessary action to ensure the work produced by the team is of a high quality
- Ensure the provision of customer-focused, streamlined service delivery and responsiveness to internal expectations and emerging needs
- Promote and demonstrate commitment to the organisation’s values
You will coordinate a Property Services program that provides and administers best practice frameworks, systems, and processes, develop, manage, and implement the relevant Council policies, plans, budgets, and property strategy to ensure success. This role will be accountable for the performance of staff and monitoring performance outcomes and will require sound financial management and compliance with relevant workplace safety, confidentiality, and operational policies whilst applying considered judgement to make evidence-based decisions consistent with the company goals and values.
