A boutique planning consultancy in inner Melbourne is looking for a Senior or Principal Town Planner who is seeking career growth and to become a leader in the industry. You will be part of the management team and play a key role in the mentoring and development of junior members of the business.

As a senior member of the team, you will take carriage of a number of these relationships and be responsible for maintaining and developing these relationships.
There is no expectation that you will bring in or chase work in the short term, however a willingness to attend industry events and seek new sources of work would be highly regarded.
Be technically competent: It is expected that you will have technical proficiencies to be able to consult effectively and provide clear succinct advice to clients, as well as to the more junior planners regarding their own applications and to provide ongoing support in a mentoring capacity.
You will have strong written and verbal communication skills and your experience will include a wide range of statutory applications. Exposure to VCAT is preferred, but not essential.
We are open to candidates from either the public or private sector however an understanding of how consultancies operate would be beneficial.
An attractive salary will be offered depending on your level of experience, skill and value you can add to the business. Incentives will also be offered based on your performance.
