Melbourne based council located within one of the most populous and culturally diverse municipalities are experiencing change. Their Building Services team are transforming as they embark on their next phase of being a customer-centric, high performing team, focused on delivering exceptional outcomes for the organisation. As such they are seeking a likeminded individual with Building Surveying and Team Leading skills to perform the role of Deputy Municipal Building Surveyor.

Reporting to the MBS you will work closely with the building compliance and approvals team to provide high-quality advice to the MBS and Council on building legislation and building matters. The ideal incumbent will have expertise of building and related legislation / acts with the ability to prepare written reports / correspondence on complex issues in a concise and structured manner to target the appropriate audience. You must be BS-U registered ideally with local government experience or expertise in Local Government Building Control.
