About the role

As an experienced – senior member of this fire protection team; your role will be to provide effective project solutions, designs and modelling for a range building / fire protection projects. Projects will include; health, government, commercial / retail, infrastructure, office fit outs, plant rooms, new commercial / residential and industrial buildings and data centres as well as carrying out building compliance audits and assessments. You will also be involved in building / strengthening of client relationships and contributing to the internal growth of the engineering team overall.

Salary: $130K – $150K Pkg

Skills and experience

  • Experience working in buildings Services / fire sprinklers – Fire systems design
  • Qualifications in engineering / building services discipline
  • 4 + years relevant experience
  • Experience designing fire sprinkler systems, hydrants / water tanks / piping and some Hydraulics projects.
  • Some past experience using Revit / AutoCAD on local projects preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience using Australian codes and standards
  • Good all round communication skills
  • RBP / CPEng useful but not essential
  • Expereicne preparing and producing fabrication sheets is useful but not essential.
  • Some prior knowledge of the BCA, Australian Standards and local Authority requirements.
  • Strong adherence to and awareness of Australian safety standards.
  • You must have the rights to work in Australia and be based in Melbourne.
  • Good communication skills written and verbal.
