The role:
As a Project Architect you will be responsible for overseeing and delivering projects within their Sports and Recreation team. Candidates with significant experience working on Aquatic Centre developments will be highly valued. Working closely with clients, consultants, and design teams, you will play a vital role in leading the successful execution of projects from concept to completion.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead project teams and collaborate with multidisciplinary stakeholders to develop innovative design solutions for sports and recreation projects.
- Oversee the entire project lifecycle, including planning, design development, documentation, and contract administration.
- Conduct site visits, coordinate consultants, and manage project schedules and budgets.
- Provide expert advice on aquatic centre developments, drawing from your significant experience in the field.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Foster strong client relationships and manage expectations throughout the project.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to their professional development.
Key requirements:
- Demonstrated experience working as a Project Leader, with a focus on Aquatic Centre developments, demonstrating an in-depth understanding of the specific design and operational requirements.
- A strong portfolio showcasing successful project delivery, including concept development, design documentation, and contract administration.
- Sound knowledge of relevant codes, regulations, and standards.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and engage with clients.
- A proactive and self-motivated approach, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Relevant qualifications in architecture or a related field. Registration with the Architects Registration Board is highly desirable.
