The Role:

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Project Architect to join their highly regarded Sydney studio.

Working across significant and technically challenging projects, you’ll take ownership of project delivery from design development through documentation and construction. You’ll collaborate closely with clients, consultants and internal teams to deliver high-quality architectural outcomes while mentoring junior staff and contributing to a collaborative and supportive studio environment.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing design excellence with technical delivery and is looking to further develop their leadership capabilities within a respected national practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead architectural projects through design development, documentation and construction phases.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary consultant teams to achieve integrated design outcomes.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and key stakeholders.
  • Resolve technical design challenges with practical and commercially considered solutions.
  • Mentor graduate and intermediate architects while fostering a positive team culture.
  • Apply a thorough understanding of the National Construction Code, Australian Standards and local planning requirements.
  • Contribute to quality assurance processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with project programming, consultant coordination and contract administration where required.

Skills Required:

  • Registered Architect (or working towards registration) with approximately 7–12 years’ professional experience.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering medium to large-scale architectural projects from concept through to completion.
  • Advanced Revit skills.
  • Strong understanding of Australian construction methodologies, the National Construction Code and relevant Australian Standards.
  • Proven ability to coordinate consultants and manage multiple project stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building and presentation skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing project priorities.
  • A collaborative leadership style and experience mentoring junior team members.
  • Passion for delivering high-quality design outcomes with a practical, client-focused approach.
  • Experience across sectors such as health, education, commercial, multi-res or mixed-use developments will be highly regarded.
