Our client is a well-established group of professionals providing expert services across a range of complex commercial, industrial, health and community related projects. They are seeking to add a Building Surveyor Unrestricted to their team on a permanent basis to ensure compliance with building regulations, codes, and standards.
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting inspections, assessing building plans, and issuing approvals in accordance with relevant legislation. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Review building plans and specifications to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
- Conduct inspections at various stages of construction to verify compliance with approved plans and specifications.
- Assess applications for building approvals and issue certificates of compliance.
- Provide advice and guidance to clients, architects, builders, and other stakeholders on regulatory requirements and compliance issues.
- Liaise with local authorities, government agencies, and other regulatory bodies as required.
You must:
- Hold Registration as a Certifier in NSW – Building Surveyor (Unrestricted).
- Extensive experience in building certification and compliance within the construction industry.
- Thorough knowledge of relevant legislation, codes, and standards.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications and tools.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
