An outstanding opportunity awaits a dependable and self-motivated Senior Architectural Draftsperson or Architectural Technician to become a part of an established Architectural and Interior Design practice based in South Melbourne.

With a rich accumulation of experience across Architecture, Interior Design, and Project Management, this practice has firmly established its presence.  They have a diverse range of clients, both private and governmental, spanning various project categories including government and corporate offices, retail spaces, residential complexes, educational institutions, industrial facilities, and hospitality venues. Thus, prior experience in these domains would be highly regarded.

The preferred candidate will embody a positive attitude and work ethic, demonstrating ambition and enthusiasm. They will be someone who thrives in a collaborative team environment, excels under pressure, and consistently meets deadlines.

In this role, close collaboration with architects and interior designers will be pivotal throughout all project phases.

Key skills

  • Demonstrated experience delivering projects on Revit;
  • Ability to resolve intricate details in both 3D and 2D mediums.
  • Extensive familiarity with DDA and NCC/BCA, Australian Standards, and other relevant regulations.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills (ability to sketch ideas by hand is advantageous but not mandatory).
  • Skill in coordinating and liaising with clients, consultants, and relevant authorities.

IT skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word/Excel/Access/Outlook).
  • Fundamental familiarity with Adobe products such as Acrobat, Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator, providing an advantage.
  • Proficiency with Revit is essential.
  • Working knowledge of Sketchup and Lumion would be advantageous, although not obligatory.
