Our client specialises in the certification of commercial refurbishments / fit-outs with experience across some very complex and creative projects.

Seeking a Contract Building Surveyor, no requirement to be Registered, to work closely with the Director to ensure the successful completion of projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated individual looking to add a few more hours of work in their week (max 2 days per week).

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Review and analyse project documentation, including plans, specifications, and reports.
  2. Assist in the preparation of reports, compliance certificates, and documentation for regulatory authorities.
  3. Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to address inquiries and provide expert advice.
  4. Mandatory and pre-commencement inspections.
  5. Stay updated on relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  6. Assist in managing project timelines, budgets, and resources.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Building Surveying.
  • 3+ years relevant industry experience.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively on your own.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools.

Best suited to those either working part-time or contracting who are looking to add an additional 5+ hours of work per week to their schedule. Engagement will be on a contract hourly rate basis with 100% remote work option.
