Our client is a team of dedicated professionals, who ensure that buildings meet regulatory standards, providing peace of mind to owners and occupants alike. We are looking for a talented Building Surveyor (level 2 or close to) who will excel working across a range of projects within the commercial sector.
As a Senior Building Surveyor you will play a crucial role in assessing buildings for compliance with relevant regulations and standards. You will identify areas of non-compliance and provide expert advice to clients on remedial actions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive surveys and assessments of buildings to determine compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards.
- Identifying and documenting areas of non-compliance and potential risks.
- Providing detailed reports outlining findings, recommendations, and remedial actions.
- Liaising with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance requirements are met.
- Offering expert guidance and support to clients on compliance issues, including building regulations, fire safety, accessibility, and environmental standards.
- Keeping abreast of changes in legislation, regulations, and industry best practices.
You must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Building Surveying.
- Proven experience in building compliance assessment and surveying.
- Strong knowledge of building regulations, codes, and standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with clients and stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate and thorough reports.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools and technologies.
