Planned Resources is proud to partner with Greater Sydney Parklands in recruiting the Senior Design & Delivery Manager to help shape Sydney’s iconic urban parklands.

The Role
Creating world-class public spaces requires vision, collaboration, and expert project management. In this role, you will oversee the design and delivery of a variety of projects—from master planning to construction—across some of Sydney’s most iconic parklands. You’ll manage projects from start to finish, balancing architectural, landscape, heritage, and environmental considerations. You’ll also work closely with stakeholders to ensure outstanding outcomes.

With multiple projects underway, you will need to navigate competing priorities, stakeholder expectations, and tight deadlines. Your ability to advocate for high-quality design, secure necessary approvals, manage budgets, and keep projects on track will be essential in shaping spaces that enhance community, cultural, and environmental value.

What You Will Bring to the Role

  • You bring proven senior-level experience in leading projects from start to finish, including feasibility, planning, tendering, design, and contract management. You have a track record of successfully managing consultants and contractors to achieve high-quality results while driving complex projects in fast-paced, challenging environments.
  • A background in design and documentation within a relevant field is highly desirable, along with strong visual and verbal communication skills to support the delivery of high-quality project outcomes.
  • You are highly motivated, adaptable, and able to thrive in a dynamic, ever-changing environment. Strong time management skills are essential to manage competing priorities and keep projects on track to meet deadlines.
  • A collaborative mindset is key, as you’ll need to engage with and lead diverse stakeholders and community groups to achieve the organization’s goals.

Why This Role is Exciting
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a lasting impact on Sydney’s future by advocating for and delivering projects that shape its public spaces for years to come.

Essential requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in one or more of the following: Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Project Management, Urban Design and/or Civil Engineering.
  • Current Australian driver’s license and ability to travel to and attend work at any site within the GSP portfolio
