Position Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Heritage Consultant to join our client. In this role, you will provide expert input into the preparation of heritage reports, including appraisals, significance assessments, impact statements, and conservation and heritage management plans. You will also coordinate and direct the work of team members and undertake expert witness work as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare a full range of heritage reports, including heritage appraisals, significance assessments, impact statements, and management plans.
- Coordinate and direct the work of junior team members and sub-consultants.
- Conduct research, site inspections, and report writing.
- Provide expert heritage advice and appraisals, including audits, assessments, and analysis.
- Lead or contribute to the preparation of conservation and heritage management plans.
- Review and edit the work of others to produce final reports.
- Assist with preparing and coordinating submissions and tenders for new projects.
- Manage projects of varying sizes and scopes, ensuring timely and accurate deliverables.
Qualifications:
- Honours or postgraduate degree in architecture, history, planning, heritage management, or archaeology.
- Extensive experience in the heritage consulting ideally as a senior consultant.
- Strong time management and organisational skills.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor junior team members.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat Standard.
- In-depth knowledge of key heritage regulatory and statutory requirements in Victoria; interstate experience is advantageous.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced skills in report writing and graphics.
