The City of Launceston is a regional hub in northern Tasmania – renowned for award-winning wines, gourmet dining experiences, magnificent natural features and friendly residents. The City is one of the largest municipality in Tasmania in terms of population and revenue.

The Planning team is now recruiting for a Senior Statutory Planner on a full-time permanent basis.
The Role: Senior Statutory Planner
This role will be responsible for assessing planning permit applications, providing planning advice to stakeholders and writing planning reports. Being a large municipality, you will be working on a variety of developments both in urban and rural areas – residential, commercial and industrial applications.

The salary range for the role is between $94,528 to $107,589 + 15.25% superannuation and 19-day month.
Ideally, we are seeking candidates who have about 4-5+ years’ experience and demonstrate strong understanding of the planning process and good report writing and communication skills.

We are keen to speak with candidates who are genuinely interested to live and work in Tasmania. We are open to candidates from all of Australia and New Zealand.
