An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced planner to join a well-respected planning consultancy in South Australia.

With offices across multiple states and a strong client portfolio across both the public and private sector, they’re positioned for growth and are going through a period of transformation and refreshment. An exciting time to join the charge!

As a Senior Planning Consultant, You’ll play a key role in shaping projects that span residential, commercial, mixed-use, and infrastructure sectors—from regional strategies and planning studies to Code Amendments and land use frameworks.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Deliver a range of strategic and policy planning projects, including rezoning and Code Amendments.
    • Provide planning advice and documentation to support statutory and strategic processes.
    • Coordinate with local and state government stakeholders to ensure robust and practical outcomes.
    • Manage project programs, budgets, and reporting with professionalism and accountability.
    • Participate in the preparation of tenders, proposals, and internal project reviews.

    About You
You’ll bring a strong mix of technical capability, strategic insight, and project management skills, with a genuine passion for shaping better places through planning excellence. We’re looking for someone with:

    • Demonstrated experience in strategic and policy planning, including Code Amendments within South Australia.
    • Strong working knowledge of the South Australian Planning and Design Code and relevant legislation.
    • Proven ability to coordinate multiple projects and stakeholders.
    • Tertiary qualifications in Urban or Regional Planning (or a related discipline)

This role will suit a technically strong, motivated planner who enjoys problem-solving, working autonomously, and contributing to meaningful, long-term planning outcomes. You’ll be part of a supportive and progressive team that values quality, collaboration, and innovation.
