A South East Vic regional council about 2 hours from the heart of Melbourne are seeking a Senior Strategic Planner to hit the ground running on a number of complex projects. You will be responsible for managing a range of key projects relating to coastal issues; some are mid-way through the process and others at their inception phase as well as the planning scheme amendment process.
The Coastal projects which are currently in their infancy require a strong project manager who can engage and manage the consultants, preparing briefs, and run community consultation.
Ideally the candidate stepping into this position is experienced in managing planning scheme amendment processes, bushfire, flood, and coastal issues as well as rezonings and can work autonomously.
Council are offering a hybrid working arrangement however will need some onsite presence for council meetings/briefings in particular. The minimum onsite requirement would be between 4-6 days per month.
This is a part time (3 days) position and is a parental leave cover until April 2025. The pro rata salary on offer is between $60k – $65k + super; Band 7 equivalent.
