A multidisciplinary land development consultancy is seeking an experienced Planner to join a newly created team to focus on delivery of major projects.

  • Land development consultancy in Melbourne SE
  • Focus on major projects in a quasi-development manager role
  • Combination of statutory and a bit of strategic planning

They are a leading land development consulting services having been in business for 30 years. They recently created a new team to service and deliver Major Projects – and the team is now looking to grow by hiring a Planner or Senior Planner.

The role is somewhat quasi-development manager role – where your responsibilities will be split between planning (70%) and project coordination (30%). We are keen to speak with someone with statutory planning experience with a small mix of strategic planning and the nous of project management and delivery.

The major projects will vary – from residential or industrial subdivisions, mixed-use developments, lifestyle communities, recreational facilities, hotel, resort villages, and renewables. You would do planning scheme amendments for rezoning and development plans. And you would be doing advocacy work for clients regarding PSPs.

We would like to speak with candidates with 4-5+ years’ statutory planning experience – ideally from Victoria. Experience in greenfield will be highly regarded though not necessary. Experience in project management/coordination will be well regarded as well.

The office is in SE Melbourne with parking spaces. Hybrid working arrangements will be negotiated with the right candidate. Salaries are also depending on the candidate – open to conversations.
