The Role

The Unit Manager Asset Protection position sits within the Assets and Facilities Department, with the aim to support and add value to the community through effective, sustainable and efficient management of Council’s infrastructure and portable assets.

The Unit Manager will undertake the strategic management and protection of all Council-owned public assets to ensure they are maintained and preserved in the most financially sustainable and risk-averse manner, in accordance with the Community’s and Council’s expectations and needs, as well as all corporate and legislative requirements


Key responsibilities

In this role, you will support the Manager Assets & Facilities to review, renew and develop Asset Protection Strategy for all Council’s owned assets, lead the management and operations of the Asset Protection Unit in accordance to the adopted Asset Plan, this includes;

  • Single and multi-unit developments
  • Residential developments
  • Commercial developments
  • Works in Road Reserve
  • Nature Strips
  • Utility Works
  • Permits and Fees
  • Inspections, Compliance, and Enforcement
  • And all other assets as determined by Council
