Town Planner

  • A planner role with a client-side developer
  • Mainly deals with backyard subdivisions and small-scale residential developments
  • Dynamic working culture – fast paced

This company can be described as client-side developer – they help their clients/investors with development options that would suit their needs and situations. Over the many years operating in Victoria, they’ve delivered about 600 projects! Essentially, the team will work with clients from site sourcing/selection, run costings, acquisitions, feasibility, design through to planning permit applications. And once permit is obtained, the project will then be handed over to builders for construction.

As the business is about to grow, they are seeking a dynamic and experienced Planner to help with providing planning advice, someone who is able to assess a site upfront, and preparation and delivery of planning permits for these developments – mainly residential with possible growth in the childcare sector.

We are keen to speak with a motivated Town Planner with experience dealing with ResCode, single dwellings, townhouses, units, dual occupancy, and residential subdivisions (1 to 2+ lots). They like to deliver outcomes, so we are not looking to push envelopes – rather proper advice to achieve the best possible outcomes for a site.

The culture is very dynamic and results driven – you will be working alongside Architects, Draftsmen, and Development Managers plus the Sales team.

Office is in South Melbourne and salary really depends on the candidate but would be somewhere around $100k (happy to negotiate). Ideal for those with 2-5+ years’ experience in Victoria.
