  • $95,000-$120,000 experience dependent
  • OT on night/day work if desired / retention bonus
  • Paid accommodation close to the site in Adelaide
  • FIFO/DIDO options are available for a 2-month period until settled

Our client is a very established surveying business with offices across Australia and a superb reputation in the market.

We are currently seeking surveyors with utility experience or (DBYD) Certified to join the team in Adelaide. You will work on a 5-year project where you will support the operations setting out and picking up utility services.

About the Utility Locator Role

  • Interpret utility plans, DBYD documentation, and aerial imagery to accurately locate underground infrastructure such as water, gas, and electrical lines.
  • Produce detailed reports summarising utility findings and project outcomes upon completion of each assignment.
  • Guide clients toward appropriate services or solutions to meet their project needs effectively.
  • Support colleagues by providing training on the use of asset-locating tools and techniques for identifying underground utilities.
  • Manage the routine maintenance and repair of locating devices to maintain their functionality and precision.

Utility Locator Skills & Experience

  • Proficient in conducting set-out and picking up underground utility services.
  • Familiarity with 12D software, gained through surveying.
  • DBYD certified.
  • Skilled in operating GPR systems for accurate surveying and utility mapping.
