Local Laws Officer (ref. 23081)

A Police veteran and a current Local Laws Officer is looking for their next position within council due to relocation. This individual is available for a full-time contract or permanent position in and around the Victorian and NSW border (Echuca area). While this candidate was a Police member, they were serving as a Senior Constable where they were responsible for minimising road trauma, promoting safe road use and ensuring positive traffic flow. They used their delegation, liaison, and conflict resolution skills in almost every situation to try and resolve all situations with a positive outcome.

Upon their retirement from the force, they moved into Road Safety Officing within a Victorian council where they were working over the busy Christmas period with holidayers, campers, locals, and tourists coming to and through the community. They were responsible for parking enforcement and other regulatory road rules relevant to the Victorian Road and Parking legislation.

They have recently finished up a Community Safety Officer contract where they implemented, administered, and enforced local laws, relevant legislations and Codes of Practice.

Certificates include Certificate IV – Animal Regulations and Management, Certificate III – Investigative Services, Certificate IV Government Investigations, and associate degree – Police Practice.

This candidate will be available at the end of March to early April and will be looking for a permanent or contracted position.
