Senior Strategic Planner – VIC

With over seven years of experience in Victoria, this candidate possesses a strong understanding of growth area planning. They are well-suited for Band 7 roles, and are seeking contract opportunities, particularly part-time positions at 0.8T.

They have experience in various facets of planning, including Structure Plans, Activity Centres, Development Plans, rezoning, and planning scheme amendments.


Town Planner – Greenfield – VIC

They have 2 years’ experience working in a land development company – mainly working on subdivision projects (circa 100+ lots).

They are currently looking for other opportunities to expand on their technical skills. Ideally joining a planning consultancy that will expose them to other types of developments.

Salary circa $70k – $75k + super.


Transport Planner – Working Holiday Visa

Mid-level Urban Designer with experience working for highly regarded national practice, and more recently in a public environment.  Is seeking opportunity to take the next step in their career.  Ideally looking for an opportunity that will give exposure to Strategic Planning or with highly challenging projects.  Excellent design skills, with highly developed skills in visualisation.


Senior Planner – Part Time – VIC

A Senior Planner with 6 years’ consulting experience in Melbourne. Has experience in managing DAs including residential, commercial, VicSmart, industrial, community projects and heritage.

They left last year to pursue a literary project which is now completed. They are keen to continue their planning career and will be open to opportunities both in government and private sector. Would be open to both permanent and contract roles and seeking part-time arrangements (3 days/week). Available immediately.


Senior Town Planner – VIC

They have qualifications in Law and Planning – and they have about 4 years’ experience as a Planning Consultant in some of Melbourne’s well-known firms. They have dealt with retail, build-to-rent, greenfield/PSP, and residential developments. Also has experience drafting expert evidence for hearings at VCAT.

They will be traveling to Europe in July, and therefore, seeking short term contract from now until then. Available immediately and would suit a Band 6 roles in a local council.


Senior Planner – VIC

This planner has about 6 years’ experience and has worked for Local Government organisations with a brief experience in the private sector. They have taken a short break in the last few months to regroup and refresh and are now looking to take on some contract work in the public sector. They would suit a high band 6 / 7 position.


Principal Planner – VIC

A highly capable Planner with 14 years’ experience in Victoria – they have worked for private and public sector employers including inner-city local councils. Their last role was a Band 7 Principal Statutory Planner.

They left at the end of 2023 in order to go back to Uni – so they are looking for part-time contract work. They are available for 2 days/week and can start immediately.


Social Planner – VIC

They have qualifications in Human Geography and Master’s in Urban Resilience and Renewal – and they started their career as a Policy Advisor for the NZ Ministry of Transport where they worked on urban and transport policy.

Since mid-2022, they have been working for an engineering company on a range of projects focussing on social outcomes of said projects. One in particular was a transport infrastructure project and looking at how the transport enabled liveable communities. Another core function is to complete the social impact assessments.

They are moving to Melbourne and will be keen to find opportunities here. Salary circa $94k + super.


Open Space Planner – VIC

With a decade of experience primarily within Canadian local government, they transitioned to Australia on a spousal visa. They have strong project management skills and have worked on high-profile open space projects both in city centre and river valley (ecologically sensitive). Currently, they are available immediately and open to exploring both contract and permanent roles.


Planning Consultant – Working Holiday Visa

A UK Planner in Australia on a Working Holiday Visa – who have worked for Barton Willmore (now Stantec) and Quod. They sat at a Senior Planner level in the UK, having overseen massive schemes where they would manage clients on a day-to-day basis and oversaw a team of 4 juniors.

Would be ideal for contract roles or a role in a consultancy where there may be an opportunity for sponsorship down the line. Available immediately.


Subdivision Officer – VIC

Their experience began when working for an infrastructure company – where they were involved in handling subdivision applications. They then joined a local council as a Subdivision Officer where they’ve been managing subdivision applications on SPEAR, conditions, bonds for assets, and apps up to 10 lots.

They are looking for a similar role in a local council closer to home. They’re currently in a Band 6 role and ideally would be looking for the same.


Grad Strategic Planner – VIC

A recent Graduate Planner with 2 years’ experience as a Student Strategic Planner at a inner-Melbourne City Council. They were involved in an engagement and consultation process for the SEEF (Spatial Economic and Employment Framework). They also have experience in research, data collection, and analysis.

Now they have completed uni, they are looking for a role that would kick start their planning career. Immediately available and open to either contract or permanent roles.


Strategic Heritage Planner – VIC

This planner has more than 9 years’ experience (including student roles) – and has worked in both Statutory and Strategic capacities. They have worked for a number of Victorian councils and have gained experience on a range of projects. They have a passion for heritage strategic planning which they were the specialist in council working alongside the broader strategic team.

This candidate is only seeking contract work for the moment but have the ability to commit to full time hours.

Junior Town Planner – VIC

After graduating in early 2023, this planner had the opportunity to work in a regional planning team for 2 years (3-4 days per week) during their studies. They had a pretty decent amount of exposure and experience in both the statutory and strategic planning side of things particularly in a rural setting. They have had the exposure to run planning scheme amendments and community consultations as well as some of the more basic Band 5 applications. Available immediately and open to roles in either the public or private sectors.
