Project Manager

As the Project Manager for this Victorian municipality, you will be responsible for providing considerable and efficient support for the benefit of minimising the communities’ floods and storms.  The council is looking for a 6-month contract at a minimum with a fantastic hourly rate.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • The effective coordination which provides positive results for the Victoria Floods and Storms. This includes identification of requirements, and preparation of tender documents
  • Effectively project manage and reach and agreement with required personnel to ensure that the scope of all works, work planning and the work instructions result in success
  • Supervise and provide direction to other departments and contractors to ensure timely completion of duties and responsibilities
  • Undertake orderly inspections of works and activities to ensure full compliance with timelines, specifications, quality and OH&S standards
  • Prepare and present written and verbal reports on the required progression works

 

To be successful for this position, you must display:

  • Project Management experience a degree in Project Management
  • Contract Management experience or supervisory experience with the ability to plan and manage objectives
  • Sound OH&S knowledge and work practices in line with both the councils’ policies and industry standards
  • Previous local government experience is a desirable
  • Civil Engineering degree – bonus points
