You will be responsible for the daily set-up of a young professional planning team, including but not limited to identification of planning pathways and advice on how to tackle applications, peer review of reports pre-lodgement, and the provision of ad-hoc solutions where required.
Whilst this role will see you working in a consulting environment there is no expectation to win work as that is the remit of the director. There is however a requirement for the successful candidate to have confidence and maturity to command the respect of their team for them to take direction as well as being required to deal with clients in a day-day project management perspective.
The ideal candidate is likely to have worked in a small consultancy environment where they have developed a level of autonomy and confidence in their own decision making; or be a technically proficient planner from local council looking to make the transition into consulting. Experience in urban projects (across both residential and commercial projects) will be highly regarded.
