With a strong “place-based” function, this role will be responsible for helping to deliver a clear strategic direction for a 1500 lot development. Initially running for 6+ months, there is a strong possibility that a candidate who is performing well in this role could go on significantly beyond this.
Set across a disparate set of 50+ land-owners, and with significant interest from adjacent neighbours this role is seeking an experienced strategic planner who has the capacity to find common ground where possible, and make clear informed decisions that will give the project surety when consensus is not possible.
Candidates will have a good understanding of development in order to be able to negotiate outcomes that maximise community benefit for council, but also facilitate good effective development for the project hence a good understanding of issues such as open space, drainage, infrastructure sequencing, development contributions will be highly regarded.
This challenging and rewarding role will suit a proactive statutory or strategic planner who is outcome focused and looking for a place-based role where their actions will have genuine impacts on the final development.
