Strategic Planner

Planned Resources Recruitment Melbourne
  • Planning Scheme Amendment focus
  • Open to statutory planners looking to transition into a strategic role
  • Initial 6-month contract – possible extension

Busy local authority seeks a mid-senior planner to be an integral part of the strategic planning team. They will be responsible for managing a lot of the mechanics/processes involved in Planning Scheme Amendments.  This is an initial 6 month contract with a possible extension subject to workload and performance.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in managing a planning scheme amendment process within a local council from inception to adoption, (either as one whole application or assisted in progressing a range of amendments, but having covered all stages of the process), experience in preparation of material for Planning Panels is highly regarded, but presentation at Panels isn’t essential.

We would also be open to hearing from statutory planners who are looking to transition into a strategic planning role within council and see the opportunity to gain planning scheme amendment experience as a way of improving their chances.
